Why choose an organic wine?

Why choose an organic wine?

One thing is certain, it is not because a wine is organic that it will necessarily taste good ... Believe me, I tested several last summer.

"Organic" for me is good for the environment and good for my health. A certified organic wine is a wine devoid of synthetic chemicals. It must meet a list of demanding conditions. And since my philosophy is to give my body food that is as natural as possible and therefore has undergone as little transformation as possible, I sincerely believe that organic wine should be considered.

In addition, I have the SAQ application on my cell phone and I can scan each bar code on the bottles to see the sugar level of each wine. For those who know me, I'm not much of a general alcohol drinker, but I had stopped drinking wine altogether because it gave me stomach aches and headaches. Since I drink organic wine almost without sugar (between 1.5% and 3%) I have eliminated these 2 symptoms.

My favorite "organic" wine of the year 2019 is without a doubt:

  • The 2018 Gamay Sans Tra La La ($ 28)

Do not look for it in Quebec, however, there are no bottles left. We will have to wait for the next cuvée.
